  1. I like that you chose to do the writing portfolio. I personally chose to do the storybook, and sometimes it is just too much work. You did a good job of choosing two great stories for your portfolio. They were both very well written and interesting to read.

My personal favorite was your story about Jatayu and Sampathi. When I was reading the books these two were some of my favorite characters. You did a great job of bringing them to life. I liked they line in your story, ‘ either I am getting faster or you are becoming slower with age.’ I think that is the perfect line to use, because it really brought to life their carefree and loving sibling behavior.

In your stories I think you do a great job of really describing it and bringing it to life. The Jatayu story is something that I believe anyone would enjoy reading even if they haven’t read the Ramayana. Keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing what stories you add to your portfolio.

  2. Hi Scott, I really liked reading your portfolio story. I especially enjoyed The Legend of King Arjuna. It was nice to read a dialogue of the characters and get a better insight on the thoughts of each of them. I found Ravana very evil throughout the book too, so, reading your story was enjoyable because you illustrated that side of Ravana very effortlessly! You did a wonderful job in describing each characters thoughts and the presence was very much there. Overall, I think you are doing a great job, and I cannot wait to keep reading other stories!

  3. Hi Scott! I really like your portfolio so far, your stories are really detailed and I think my favorite story would be The Legend of King Arjuna. I thought it was clever to combine Ravana and Arjuna together in one story. As I was reading your author's, I thought you stuck with your storyline pretty well, you were trying to make Ravana's defeat humiliating and to show how badly he was beaten. You did a great job with that part for sure. I also enjoyed reading your other stories over Jatayu and Hanuman. Overall, I really like your portfolio, I think you are really creative and added a lot of details in your story. It was pretty clever to combine the different indian epics we learned in class and make it a story. You did a wonderful job! Keep up the good work! I also really liked your layout on your page. It is simple but I like simple because it is easier to read the fonts and not something crazy where I can't read anything. Anyways good job again, I can't wait to read more of your stories!
